Innovative Recruitment Solution, HubOne Now Available in Australia

October 21, 2009

Why hire external help when you’ve got people within your team that can get the job done? This is the premise behind HubOne, an innovative recruitment tool that enables businesses to tap into their own talent more effectively, reducing the reliance on costly recruitment agencies and hiring fees.

Frontline Systems has become the first HubOne certified channel partner across Asia Pacific, giving Australian companies the opportunity to achieve significant cost savings in staffing.

According to a Gershon report, on average, ICT contractors cost around $186,000 – which is $94,000 per annum more than the average loaded cost for a permanent employee of any Federal Government agency. The report also showed a wide range of reliance on ICT contractors.

The HubOne Enterprise Profile Management 1.0 solution is based on Microsoft Active Directory and can be deployed within an hour, ready to input staff data such as skills, experience, qualifications, and career aspirations.

“We see this strategic new partnership with HubOne as another way for us to work with our customers to produce tangible, long lasting, business benefits,” said Mr Michael Chanter, Frontline general manager of Professional Services.

Using the HubOne software, staff can find areas within the organisation for advancement as people are chosen based on their abilities, rather than someone’s perception of those abilities. This can have a positive impact on employee morale, commitment and loyalty; and reduces churn.

Nick Beaugeard, HubOne founder and managing director, said that the development of the HubOne software was a result of research that revealed a gap in the market for a recruitment solution to allow CIOs and HR to better manage their own talent: “More often than not we were finding that businesses had the talent but not an innovative approach to managing that talent.”

As well as implementing the HubOne solution within other organisations, Frontline is also in the process of implementing the solution internally to help HR and their business managers manage talent across multiple offices. This will provide the business with much better understanding of the people who work across various internal functional teams including engineering, consulting, project management, sales and finance.

“We are delighted to be working with Frontline to make HubOne available. They were the ideal choice not just because of their IT expertise, but also because they share our vision around the need to constantly be improving business management information systems,” said Mr Beaugeard.

There is no limit on the size an organisation needs to be in order to implement this solution. In fact, HubOne has already received interest from the Thai government who is looking at building a talent bank to profile all of its citizens.
