Customers and partners getting more from Frontline and NTT Communications

May 30, 2012

Since NTT acquired a 70% stake in Frontline in July 2011, our position in the market has shifted significantly. No longer viewed as simply a local systems integrator, Frontline is now seen to have global reach – an important attribute to many of our customers and vendor partners.

“With NTT by our side, there has been a lot of interest from companies seeking to leverage our global reach,” said Steve Murphy of Frontline Systems Australia. “We are now recognised as a major player in the industry, and as a flow-on, we can provide excellent opportunities for our customers.

An example is mining company Lynas Corporation, which is currently expanding into Malaysia. Lynas is already reaping the benefits of the Frontline-NTT partnership – using Harbour MSP data centres in Australia and NTT Communications data centres offshore, to host their corporate system for global access.

“From our perspective, there are many benefits stemming from the global reach that NTT Communications brings to Frontline. In addition to the cohesion that comes with having both companies aligned to our goals, we enjoy greater purchasing power and, more importantly, seamless failover thanks to the size and scope of their infrastructure,” said Gillian Kidson, General Manager, IT, Lynas Corporation.

Indeed, Frontline customers now have direct access to the many service offerings of NTT and its affiliate companies on a worldwide scale – such as its global IP network, cloud data centres and professional services.

Despite the growth, it has very much been a case of “business as usual” for the local Frontline team. “We are still 100% focused on giving our local customers the same level and quality of service they expect from their Frontline team,” said Murphy.
