Harbour MSP
Data Centre Service Provider
Harbour MSP is a data centre service provider that specialises in highly available IT infrastructure and communications.
Its fully integrated colocation services – in carrier-neutral, state-of-the-art facilities in Singapore, Sydney and Melbourne – offer a comprehensive range of Managed Services for all business needs.
Harbour MSP Managed Services include:
- Infrastructure – for server and storage management of Windows, AIX, Linux, Sun, Solaris, HP and NetApp platforms; and for networking management of Cisco, Juniper, Checkpoint and Foundry platforms
- Network – multi-carrier, high availability business-grade internet connectivity; and shared firewall and load balancer infrastructure platforms
- Storage – with the ability to provide tape changing services for all co-location clients, an enterprise-grade shared backup platform, and storage on-demand
SteamEngine – Infrastructure on Demand
SteamEngine provides HPC Cloud infrastructure on dedicated servers with exclusive network control. This “HPC on demand” model is proving very popular for process-intensive applications in the Telecommunications, Public Sector, Financial Services, GeoScience, BioMedical, Engineering and Media & Entertainment industries.
Via its Managed Services offering, SteamEngine delivers a wide range of services to clients:
- Storage as a Service (StaaS) – with physical storage systems that enable virtualisation and partitioning; storage provisioning, management, monitoring and security systems; additional elastic and extensible cloud storage systems; and transcoding, backup, automated data replication and disaster recovery systems.
- Platform as a Service (PaaS) – this facilitates the deployment of applications without the cost and complexity of buying and managing the underlying hardware and software. It includes facilities for application design, application development, testing, deployment and hosting as well as application services such as team collaboration, web service integration and marshalling, database integration, security, scalability, storage, persistence, state management, application versioning, application instrumentation and developer community facilitation.
- Software as a Service (SaaS) – with a well-designed implementation and properly priced licenses, on-demand SaaS provides license benefits without the associated complexity and the potential high cost to equip devices with applications the enterprise may not need.
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) – this delivers computer infrastructure – typically a platform virtualisation environment – as a service. Rather than purchasing servers, software, data-centre space or network equipment, you can access these resources as a fully outsourced service, billed using a utility model where the cost reflects the amount of infrastructure used.
